I have an HP Pavilion a6000 running on Vista(32bit) with Intel Core Duo 4300s at 1.8GHzeach, and 1014 MB RAM with a 290 G hard drive, plus an 80G external. The video card is an Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family. Basically, I have a stock system here.
I am seriously considering the processors, memory capacity, and video card of my computer. I am not all that computer savvy, soo any help would be appreciated. Are there any wizards out there who could give me some free advice on some good products?
Thanks a million!|||wow, so many options, ok first of get a 8800gt,(best for money, for high end) all the 8800gt cards use the same chip, so whatever manufactuer you go with is up to you, i usually just go with the cheapest...(try newegg.com its the best ever..) as for prosessor, thats usally not the bottleneck in the computer, i would say upgrade that last, as a card and memory update will be way more effective in improving performance. as for the memory, i would duoble it to 2024 megibite. if you dont know exatically what type of ram you have , go to Cruisal.com, they sell ram, and even have a feature that will detect what ram you have and tell you what you need exatically, pretty usefull. oh and chech thsi out. http://www.tomshardware.com/ go there, and scoll halfway down, you will see a section on the right sidethat says "vga charts, cpu charts, ex" check those out, you can compare every GPU and CPU on the market today very easilly, so you can see the price/speed ratios for yourself.. ok im done know, but check that stuff out.|||yea add more ram, beta CPU, geta 8600 GT card. Good midrange. Don't geta 8800 GT that's just stupid and im not sure if you compuetr case if even big enough for that hell of a graphics card.|||What do you want? you have everything!
