Will upgrading video card make a big visual difference?

I have an athlon 64x2 5000 PC with an

NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. I will upgrade to a 256mb version from the current 128mb whichwillbe pci as well..is it worth the advantage visually if I play Call of Duty 4 for PC compared to what I have now.

E|||Hi

I don't think you can actually buy 6150 'cards' as such as that graphics chipset is (these days at least) integrated into motherboard.

to play games on your machine the best bet is to get a dedicated gaming card. this will give you a MUCH better time of it with a game like COD4

if your machine is less than 3 years olf you will have a pci-e 16x slot. This is where your graphics card will go on your motherboard.

to get a sense of whats available have a look here

the 8600gt is an ok entry-level card. they retail for about $130. for $250 you can get an 8800gt which is an awesome card and will give you lots of eye-candy on COD4. You would be amazed at the improvement over what you have now.
