How do you upgrade video card from integrated geforce 6150LE to something better?

I have a HP media Center M7640N Desktop. Is it any harder because everything is integrated or can I just pull it right out and plug in a better Geforce card?|||The Media Center M7640N has a PCI-e slot that you can buy a Pci-e video card and plug right in, you can either go into the BIOS and disable onboard video or leave it on for Mulit (tri) monitor support.|||Yes, just buy a new card and slot it in!|||just get a new one, if you download it or something it might not work|||I would disable the on-board card from the bias.

I have done a similar upgrade. It didn't work until I disabled the integrated hardware.

It was complaining about some kind of "Resource conflict"|||It's integrated so you can't pull it out. You have to disable it before installing your new card. Contact HP for instructions on how to disable your integrated card. With some computers you disable it in the device manager, others must be disabled in the BIOS. The most difficult ones are where you have to set a jumper on your motherboard to disable it. That is why you want to contact HP first.|||hp M7640N has a pci-express slot so yes you can.try this site for installing your graphics card http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…

a great places to look for your video card is newegg.com

good luck!|||If its integrated (which means it part of the motherboard), you aren't going to pull it out . . .

You can turn it off in Hardware and use a PCI card . . .|||unless your the man at soldering and electirical paths and current control... I would just buy a video card and plug it into your video slot ( if you have one) or if you dont' have a video slot get a pci card... good luck...

be sure to turn off on board video in bios once you have upgraded... will prevent headaches...
