Upgrading Video Card And Processor.?

Hello i was wondering what video card and processor would be compatible.

Right Know i have a 9600GT video card and a Intel Q6600 Quad-Core Processor.

I don't know what kind of MO-BO it has but obviously its compatible w/ the quad core and the 9600GT.

So i was wondering what your suggestions were on buying a new gpu and cpu, also please make

sure there compatible



Also its a Acer Aspire IDK if this helps.|||It's not going to be worth it to get a new CPU on that thing. You already have a quad and any significantly better quad core is going to cost way too much to be worth sticking it in a dead socket like 775. If you want a better CPU, you're going to need a new motherboard and probably some new RAM, too.



And being a crappy OEM, add a new power supply to that list.|||Any CPU that fits the LGA 775 socket will work just fine, the CPU does not dictate what GPU to use, only the PSU and type of interface whether it be PCI-E, PCI express x16, PCI Express 2.0 x16 or PCI Express 2.1 x16... etc..
