Upgrade video card from nvidia 8500gt to 9600 or 8800? or no geforce?

Currently i have a 8500 gt nividia card on my computer 512 mb. Which runs pretty ok but the speeds are not as good as hoped. I can play any game out now but a game like crysis on low setting but a game like call of duty 4 high and gears of war medium. I was looking to maybe upgrade and sell my 8500. Im a college so keep in mind the lightness of my wallet, but i can afford it since my tax return will be larger this year. Should I upgrade to the new 9600 since its not as expensive as 8800 or should i go for one of 8800 base models or since i can play all games with the 8500gt should i just wait until its not adequate? whats your take on all this??|||Just wait til the 9800GTX or whatever comes out then the 8800 will come down in price. 85, 75, 86, 96, are all cheap lines of nvidia cards. The 68, 78, 88, and future 98xx series cards are all the full throttle cards...|||although the 9800 will be good its not that powerful and is pretty dissapointing yeah its more poweful then the gts and gt

and is only jsut more powerful then the 8800gtx so i reccomend getting the 8800 gt when it comes out

9600gt is cheap and just under the gt

i reccomend cheap and powerful get a 8800gt|||This guide breaks out the best video cards into price brackets. This is accurate as of March of '08.
