Upgrading Video Card for HP Pavilion p6130y?

I want to upgrade my video card for HP Pavilion p6130y

I would like to run the sims 3 without it freezing every 5 minutes...

I want to upgrade the Nvidia 9100 to 9800 If I can? These are the recommened video cards to run the sims 3

4850, 4870|||Just try turning down the graphics settings in the options it should fix it, but I mean you can upgrade to a 9800, it's possible.|||While any of those cards may fit, the power supply in that PC may not be large enough. For example, the 4870 will not likely run as it needs a hefty power supply.



You have to shop for the video cards that match your power supply. If it's a 300W supply for example, you have to shop for a video card that recommends a 300W supply or less (most of the lower end ones will)

Finding any video card that specifies a specific power supply wattage, like 350W, 450W or whatever, you have to check your machine to see what size you actually have....|||Hi Karen,



Although there are a number of recommended video cards to run the Sims 3, you have to be sure that your expansion slots on the motherboard will support a particular card. You can do this by examining the motherboard or referring to the manufacturers website, or your computer manual. Hope this helps.
