Pc spec upgrade? video card or ram?

ok ive got a core 2 duo 2.4 ghz, nivida nforce chipset, 1 sli xfx 8600gt graphix cards and 2 gb ram. in some games its abit slower on higher settings and i was wondering whats best. another sli graphix card (to make 2) or some more ram or both? ive got xp. is it possible to like (over upgrade ram?) or is the ram ive got enough and just get the video card?|||The RAM is enough. Go for the second video card!

The second Video card will make a world of difference.

Edit: Your CPU is fast enough. For games U need a second video card!|||If you add any more RAM the changes are XP won't recognise it, you'll have to install a 64-bit edition of either Vista or XP.

There's no point getting a new graphics card to make your PC faster, unless your playing games of course.

I think you should consider getting a new processor, by the looks of it, your CPU is slowing you down more than your RAM.|||I would get a faster processor or, a quad processor.

If your using XP (32bit) then you'll be limited to a total of 3GB of RAM.|||You'll need to find out how much ram your motherboard can handle first, ram is pretty cheap, i'd get both if you've got the money to spare. You could also look at the back of them game box and see what spec it recommends.|||go with the 2nd video card if your motherboard supports 2 as said earlier xp 32 bit only supports 3 gigs of ram and as far as your processor goes it IS NOT the limiting factor with games. video cards make games go smooth any decent multicore processor will work if the video is up to snuff.||| Ram is ok. upgrade your cards to sli ,this will give you faster game play and frame rate.
